Funk Shui

Funk Shui Band is a Sacramento local 6 piece R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance band. Our line-up includes two females singers, one on keys and the other on percussion, backed by a tight rhythm section of drums, guitar, bass & saxophone. Our song-list spans decades of music from Aretha Franklin to Beyonce'! We are a family-friendly band and we love to engage our audience!

Lori Sacco (lead/backing vocals, keyboard, & percussion) is a former music major at Sacramento State University. She played for more than ten years throughout the West Coast and performed three Pacific Air Force & DOD concert tours in the Far East. She is a former reporter and news anchor on KFBK, former deejay on Y92, and was the news and entertainment reporter on the Paul & Phil Show in Sacramento. She is currently a member in both Funk Shui Band and Skyler's Pool fronted by KFBK anchor Kitty O'Neal.

Soulful vocalist Amy Anne has been an active part of the Sacramento music scene for decades. She sang in the original folk-rock group Xenophilia, which went on to be inducted into the Sacramento Area Music Awards (aka “Sammies”) Hall of Fame for winning in the Outstanding Folk Rock Band category three years in a row. In 2005, she released a solo album entitled “Supergirl” featuring her original song “Johnny Depp”, which became a beloved song by fans of Depp who made YouTube videos to the song and translated it into dozens of languages.

Amy Anne went on to work with Sacramento-area bands Love Train, Hip Service, The Rock Doctors, Apple Z, Steely Scam and Theotokos. Her wide vocal range and music catalog have made her a go-to sub singer for many local and Bay Area bands.

When not funking out with Funk Shui, Amy Anne currently performs alongside her husband in the love song cover band Love + Honey, and in original funk band The Pressure Lounge
